Viewing the Earth:
You can view either a map of the Earth (http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/Earth/action?opt=-p) showing the day and night regions at this moment, or view the Earth from the Sun (http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/Earth/action?opt=-s), the Moon (http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/Earth/action?opt=-m), the night side (http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/Earth/action?opt=-n)latitude, longitude and altitude (http://www.fourmilab.ch/earthview/vlatlon.html), from a satellite in Earth orbit (http://www.fourmilab.ch/earthview/satellite.html), or above various cities (http://www.fourmilab.ch/earthview/cities.html) of the Earth, above any location on the planet specified by around the globe.
Images can be generated based on a full-colour image of the Earth (http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/Earth/action?opt=-p&img=learth.evif) by day and night, a topographical map (http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/Earth/action?opt=-p&img=NOAAtopo.evif) of the Earth, up-to-date weather satellite imagery (http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/Earth/action?opt=-p&img=irsat.bmp), or a composite image (http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/Earth/action?opt=-p&img=cloudy.bmp) of cloud cover superimposed on a map of the Earth, a colour composite (http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/Earth/action?opt=-p&img=wx-cmap.bmp) which shows clouds, land and sea temperatures, and ice, or the global distribution of water vapour (http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/Earth/action?opt=-p&img=vapour.bmp).
Expert mode (http://www.fourmilab.ch/earthview/expert.html) allows you additional control over the generation of the image.
You can compose a custom request (http://www.fourmilab.ch/earthview/custom.html) with frequently-used parameters and save it as a hotlist or bookmark item in your browser.

Viewing the Moon:
In addition to the Earth, you can also view the Moon from the Earth (http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/Earth/action?opt=-m&img=MoonTopo.evif), Sun (http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/Earth/action?opt=-s&img=MoonTopo.evif), night side (http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/Earth/action?opt=-n&img=MoonTopo.evif), above named formations (http://www.fourmilab.ch/earthview/lunarform/lunarform.html) on the lunar surface, or as a map showing day and night (http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/Earth/action?opt=-p&img=MoonTopo.evif). You can also make expert (http://www.fourmilab.ch/earthview/expert.html) and custom (http://www.fourmilab.ch/earthview/custom.html) images of the Moon.
A related document compares the appearance of the Moon at perigee and apogee (http://www.fourmilab.ch/earthview/moon_ap_per.html), including an interactive Perigee and Apogee Calculator (http://www.fourmilab.ch/earthview/pacalc.html).
Have Fun.
