Thats the reason i ride a buell(XB),fell in love with the orange n purple X1 Lightning when they came out,not long after i bought me house,

Being single and payin off a house means no toys,payed of the house and time for my X1,

They don't make 'em anymore but i still found the Lightning,now with ally frame,fuel injection,ect,ect,but it still has the same heart.

Deep down i suppose i'm a closet Tuber:hehe::hehe:

I'm locked out from seeing vids here on the work puter.

The tuber is something that is quite raw for lack of a better term.

Engine fundamantaly is old in engineering and refinement compared to say a Ducati or many of the other naked Jap bikes of the 21st century. This is what gives the tubers probly 80 percent of their unique character. Vibrating, (below 3,000 anyway) fantastic noise with just about any pipe other than the standard.

Relatively simple (especialy the carbed models) making home repairs easy.

Some how Eric managed to design in the ability to easily customise to any persons taste.

Even standard the tubers have a kind of Star Wars look and apeal.

Once you have ridden one, and soak up the benifits of the lazy yet powerfull enough power delivery, along with the great notes that can be achieved, and in confidence that the sharp handling given by the quality suspension and brakes and other subtle refinements defy the term agricultural.

It is definately a unique experience in motorcycling, and one that will probebly never be repeated even by the XB's.

Differnt in every sence indeed.
