I am having the stalling while riding symptom I had the last time the engine temp sensor died on me.
To ensure I replace the right bit, its a good idea to conferm it has a problem first I'd say.
I beleive there is a jumper you can use to start the engine check light flashing. Count the number of flashes and corrosponds to a fault.
I think this is how it works.

Any info to assist here would be appraciated.

I'm pretty sure ECMspy will help you diagnose these kinds of problems. Do ya have a cable?

No, I have no cable.
Checked thios morning and got the all clear with the jumper and count the flashes. No faults in storeage.

Yesterday leaving work the bike stalled when letting out the clutch.

I turned everything off, started again, put intop first and it stalled again when letting out the clutch.

This morning I checked that the side stand switch is not sticking.
So far problem has bot rer emerged.

similar thing happened to me and turned out to be a faulty sidestand switch........happened periodically over a coupla weeks, went sweet for a day or so then stalled, then went sweet, back to stalling - Had me REALLY confused and stressed.:nothappy::sick::think:

Dissconnect the switch at the plug and bridge the plug connections ( engine end ) with something metal ( I used a bent metal split pin ). This way it will determine if it is the switch or something else.

Hope this helps :Drogar-Mark-02(DBG)

PS: the split pin is still wedged in there as we speak.....5000+ k's later :errr:

Sounds like good advice as I am aware that the side stand switch can be the bug bear of many a good Bueller.
I gave it a dose of contact cleaner the lubed it.

I'll see how it goes for the next few days, and id it starts stalling again I'll bridge it.

Thanx guys.

I gave it a dose of contact cleaner the lubed it.

That should do it - I had the same trouble with my front brake switch not working.
A good dose of contact cleaner did the trick - a coupla years ago.

I reckon you need to disconnect the cut off switch at the clutch lever. See how you go.:grin:It happened to me.

Um, I am happy to try disconnecting installed safety devices to determin what the problem is.
I do have a big prblem with about un installing safety devices.
Probly something to do with what I do for a living.
Saving people from themselves LOL

Safety device?? Mine's been undone since I had the problem. At least then you have the problem isolated (maybe) and can focus on getting it fixed asap. It's a lot more dangerous doing a big screaming wheelie or going to the surf and getting sharked or going camping and getting eaten by a panther or fucking yeti or drinking diet soda or talking about you know who or going skydiving or bunjee jumping or picking up snakes like Pikey does.:redeye:
