Hey all,
Well the 03 XB9S died a month ago .its a long story .. however she went down and was written off ...
So on the hunt for a 1125CR .. Almost signed on a brand new one from Peter Stevens @16490 ride away however the finance Officer didnt like that price ... so thought I was Shit out of Luck until Wesley found an awesome deal .. on a second hand .. 2400Km Black 1125CR
Only problem ... it was located in Sydney .. and i hail from Melb ... so Sat arvo .. i went up to Sydney to pic her up ..
This morning @ 9.00 am picked her up, went for a ride with Wes and Jaq and Ez .. up to Road Warriors on the old road NSW .. Pommy came down on his Rapid Red 1125CR ..
Was great riding the familiar road in NSW ... lots o fun .. especially since the new tar went down ...
Massive thanks to Wes for finding this deal for me .. Youre a bloddy legend ..
Will keep you updated mate to let you know the status of its safety ;)

Hey Wendy ... Not sure about the wet and dry that Wes goes on about
you know me ... Im thinking purple again ... :hehe:
Might be a bit much though ... on the CR .. but will be different
Yeah phil .. was me that had an issue with the tram tracks .. F**&&^^%%N hate them .. just slight bit of rain .. and had to cross the tracks to avoid a car that decided to indicate to turn and down she went .. only slight cosmetic damage .. etc .. hence why at Muster .. there was a scratch on the front screen and the std bars back on ... as i had the crossroads etc .. but that wasnt why the bike got written off ... DOH ... that was minor in comparison ..
Havnt had much luck over the past few months ..
Heres the story of the death of the XB9S ... :nothappy:
Was planning to sell the old XB .. so put her back to stock ... as most of the ppl i had interested only want to pay low $$$ .. and wasnt prepared to part with more cash for the bling bits ..
This included the original XB9 front / rear pulley and BELT !!!!!! that was stored ...
So put all the std stuff back on .. and rode for a week or so no probs .. had a guy interested from Geelong coming down to look at he ..
Thought I should make sure all is sweet .. did a 300 Km ride all good .. and on the way home 5 Km from home .. doing only 30-40 ks .... right hand corner .... and NO DRIVE ......
For a sec I thought that I could ride it out .. ... but no ... then thought .. put leg down ... then thought ....its too late ..... so i let her go ... i went off sliding .. and looked over at the bike that hit a ditch .. and flipped .. rolled ... and that was it ...
I stood up .... no real damage .. back was a bit sore but all ok ..
Called me mate to pick me up ... took her home .. thinking that the other half will go totally ballistic ... two stacks in a relatively short period .... not good ...
But .. what a wife .. she was glad that I wasnt damaged ... and said .. well the bike can be fixed
Called Shannons .. took bike to a dealer ... was assessed as a write off ... within 3 weeks got the chq ... for bike and riding gear ... shannons really have their shit together with respect to claims ..
So .. on the search for a new bike .. looked at the XB12SS .. but not different enough .. and really really liked the CR .... yeah the PODs arnt right .. but over all .. the package is awesome .. IMO ...
Cheapest new bike was from PeterStevens ... 16490 ... and the CFO set a limit well under this .. but me mate Wes ....... found this and the rest is history ...
LInds ..... your not wrong about the power on these things .... Thought to give it a little squirt on the F3 in syd .. and shit its a tad more then ive become used to on the XB9 ... :errr:
So now ive got some parts for sale .... .will post up in the for sale section with pics ..
but heres what i have .. that I know on the top of my head ...
If anyone it interested ... PM me ..
XB9 Race Exhaust ..
(i needed to mod it by little tapping with a rounded hammer .. was done to suit XB12 Puilley system .. and hence should fit on the XB12 / ULys etc .. )
XB S shortened TAIL Piece .. ( Cheeze grater removed from orignal tail ) and polished ..
XB Rear Foot rest assembly ( Grey )
Thanks for the comments ppl .... will post the pics of the mods as they occur :shades:

I'd go the purple............purple is my favourite colour, all shades from mauve to royal purple.
You've got a good missus, a lot of them would go ballistic after two prangs (husbands included I guess).
Shannons were very good with us also when Trip's Springer was written off.
The CRs are a lot quicker than XB9, it's taken me a while to get used to the extra 58hp and the gear changing has taken me a bit to get used too.
The brakes are excellent and better than my XB's as well.
I've watched my Ducati go sliding down the road after it spat me off years ago, it all happened in slow motion, lots of sparks.
At least you didn't have to hassle with people buying the XB9, we didn't want to repair the Springer after all the damage that was done to it.
I'm glad you like the CR Boogman and I hope you have many enjoyable miles on it.

hey phil ..
yeah they are rizoma blinkers ... it took them off the old XB9 before she died... www.bikecraft.net.au are the aussie importer for them ... not cheap ...I think around $80-90 each !!! but they are good ..come with the resistors and a current/voltage box so they dont get shit volts / current etc ..
Fitted Rizoma grips also ... they are the shit ..
had to take off the stalk mirrors / blinkers ... I cant go past the bar ends ..
Nobbie ... yeah the exhaust is something i NEED to fix ... its damn too quiet .. not sure I want it as load as Pauls ... the only one that looks half decent is the drummer .. but they $$$$$
Will chat with a few exhaust ppl to see what can be done ...
Too much to do ..... :shades:
Hey Brett, I see that useless bastard hasn't done anything with your front axle sliders yet. :Emb:
