Just went for a ride up to Maleny today with my brother and a mate..what a great ride it is up there through past Somerset Dam and up the range towards Beerwah, counter lunch and a couple of beers were good too! Also saw heaps of Buells out and about and a big bunch of Harleys from different clubs must have had something on up that way today too.

Start @ Dayboro. Good Bakery, but my personal favourite is through Mt Mee and coffee/sausage roll/apple turnover @ Woodford Bakery. Woodford - Maleny - Kenilworth (Better fuel here). Over the bridge, Right onto Obi Obi rode. Nice cruise through the valley... the the joy of hitting some tight up hill twisties with NOOOOOOOO on coming traffic!!!! The roads splits to the top of the hill!

Stop @ Mapleton. The pub is not bad (though to be honest my last few meals there have not been crash hot... Maybe try the cafe across the road. Great coffe/meals and PIE!!!!!

Right towards Nambour, the when you hit the T intersection, right back to Maleny and retrace your steps or left down towards the Coast.

I did a ride for the first time last week through Bald Knob Rd. Was great, but it comes on you quick and bad signage.

Looks a little something like this MarkG -

I moved out Murgon way from on the coast last October. Really miss my blats in the hills. Don't forget to do a loop from Pomona up through Kin Kin, then through Cedar Pocket up to Gympie now and then.
